Pricing questions

How much does a physio cost in Sydney CBD?

At Wally's Health in Darling Square, an initial physiotherapy appointment (45 minutes) is $110. A standard appointment is $95 for 30 minutes or $125 for 45 minutes.

How much does a chiropractor cost in Sydney CBD?

An initial chiropractic appointment (45 minutes) is $90. A standard appointment is $90 for 30 minutes or $110 for 45 minutes.

Do you bulk bill?

No. With a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan and a referral letter, you pay the fee upfront and Medicare rebates $63.40 per session, for up to 5 allied health sessions per calendar year. That leaves a $26.60 gap on a standard chiropractic session.

Do I need a referral?

No. Physiotherapists and chiropractors are primary-contact practitioners, so you can book directly. You only need a GP referral letter to claim the Medicare rebate.

Can I claim on private health insurance?

Most extras policies cover physiotherapy and chiropractic; how much you get back depends on your fund and level of cover. You can claim Medicare or private health on a session, not both.
